COMING SOON: The Behind the Curtain Series of Cold War Thrillers
After almost 40 years in business, it is time to pivot. I love telling and reading stories, so why not try and write one. So here goes. A 1977 crossing through Checkpoint Charlie spurred a lifelong fascination with the Cold War. While works of fiction the Behind the Curtain series weaves real world events such as the Profumo Affair, JFK's assassination, the 1966 World Cup, and the Prague Spring into tales of an unothrodox partnership between two people separated by country, ideology, and the Iron Curtain but who share a common purpose - prevent a third, almost certainly nuclear, World War.

It’s 1964, the Sixties are starting to swing but the Iron Curtain divides Europe. The world has narrowly avoided nuclear war over Cuba, JFK is dead, the war in Vietnam is escalating as communism and capitalism compete from dominance.
Newly minted MI6 agent, Dominic 'Nic' Slater is tasked with trying to rebuild the UK's intelligence network in Moscow after the defections of Philly, Blake, and others. He uncovers an audacious Soviet plot to destabilise the West and win the Cold War. He finds himself drawn into forming a traitorous pact with the enemy to prevent war. Can he avoid discovery and pull the world back from the brink?
Available 1st April 2025
It's 1966 and the dynamics of the Cold War are shifting. Cracks are appearing in the Iron Curtain. MI6’s Nic Salter has been posted to Berlin and tasked with fermenting unrest behind the Berlin Wall. His former clandestine partner, KGB agent, Irina Sashkaya is languishing in disgrace in the basement of the Lubyanka.
When news of Slater’s arrival in Berlin reaches Moscow, Irina seizes a chance to rehabilitate her career. Moscow needs her to shore up the Warsaw Pact which leads her into another encounter with Nic and this time its personal.
